Summer Research Fellowship Programme
Introduction:
Summer Fellowships are awarded to bright students and motivated teachers to work with Fellows of the Academy on research-oriented projects. Starting on a small scale in 1995, this programme has, in recent years, grown enormously in size and reputation. Approximately 2000 such fellowships are now offered to students and teachers in a year with travel and living expenses paid. Announcements inviting applications appear in Resonance and Current Science around October, and the selected applicants, notified by February-March, can avail the fellowships for two months any time during the calendar year, preferably during the summer. Since inception, about 7029 students and 933 teachers have availed these fellowships.
